1. Instruction of various kinds of exercise for many purposes

 

Population and individual approach

We carry out both population and individual approach depending on the contents of activities requested. We also make an exercise prescription under the instructions of public health nurses and doctors for “specific health guidance”.

 

1) Walking and Nordic walking

              Instruction of walking as an aerobic exercise is provided and the topical Nordic walking is advised, too.

              Making of the walking map oriented to the local area is one of our best performances.  The map will be useful for health promoting activities.

 

 

2) Hot spring bathing, exercise in a bathtub, underwater exercise

              Education of how to take a (hot spring) bath, our original exercise methods in a bathtub and underwater exercise is available. It is useful for life style improvement, avoiding nursing care and for sustainable health promotion.

   

 

3) Exercise class for men

Exercise classes tend to be occupied mainly by women.  Because most of participants are women, even if men want to join the class, it is hard to do so for men. We can cope with the situation from the men in the prime of their working life to the elderly.

 

 

4) Exercise class for children, for their mothers, and for parent and child

              We can offer several kinds of menu that meet the local needs, i.e. improving physical fitness of children, body weight reducing program and preventive program of lifestyle related disease for the mother’s generation.

              Furthermore, please let us give you technical advices to improve the skills for such as horizontal bar and vaulting horse playing.

              These programs are very useful to treat and avoid lifestyle related disease in the children and for lack of exercise in winter season.

 

 

 

5) Exercise program for individuals

Many programs that can be done at home are proposed. Introduction of individual exercise program and energy expenditure of each exercise are provided.

l  Mets and/or the exercise point will be included if required.

l  Useful for providing a motivation, making an opportunity to start and maintain exercise habit.

l  Physical activity level measurement

 

 

6) Relaxation and stress relief

      This program mainly aims to relieve mental stress and to restore peace of mind, which leads to good balance between mental and physical state.

l  Helpful for preventing dropout and improvement of continuity

l  Also suitable for preventive class from nursing care.  

 

 

 

 

7) Protect the elderly from falling and nursing care

      We instruct exercise to maintain and/or strengthen muscle power not to become bedridden caused by injury and disease. It is also useful as prevention and improvement of the lifestyle related diseases.

 

 

8) Adopt exercise to daily life, to public policy

Aiming to increase daily life activity, we adopt exercise to daily life.

It leads to continuation of exercise and health promotion activity, maintenance of motivation for exercise and elevated performance. We are ready to contribute to prevention class from nursing care.

 

 

9) Nutritional education

              Making out an ideal menu and providing nutritionally good food menu.

Popular class for the housewives with children.

 

 

10) Improvement and prevention of lifestyle related diseases and metabolic syndrome.

Classrooms localized for regional characteristics and adjusted to individual subjects are available, which would provide the chance making and motivation for behavioral modification.

 

11) Building up physical strength and fitness for healthy life

Programs about dietetics, exercise and taking a rest are provided and we aim at creating the active life free from fatigue and physical pain.

It helps maintenance and improvement of the motivation in behavioral modification.
